Clemson Parking and Transportation Services manages campus parking policies and regulations, so use its information to confirm which rules apply to your planned visit. Clemson’s campus map page links to a campus parking map, a football parking map, a walking and handicap-accessible map, and a printable campus map.

For a campus tour, Clemson admissions says registered visitors can park for free in designated spaces at the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center. Metered visitor parking is also available in designated areas across campus.

The center is at 220 Madren Center Drive, Clemson, SC 29634. If you’re planning a Clemson University campus tour, check the parking details alongside your tour arrangements.

For directions to campus, Clemson admissions advises taking I-85 to exit 19B, following Highway 76/28 west for approximately 12 miles, then taking Highway 93 south toward Clemson University. Check Clemson Parking and Transportation Services' official site before you go.

Visitor lots, permits and payment

Choose a designated metered space if you don’t have a permit; parking in other campus spaces requires following the applicable permit rules.

Clemson lists more than 400 metered visitor spaces, including locations identified on the Visitor Metered Parking Map such as C-1, C-9, E-27, McGinty Court, Fike Recreation Center, Gentry Hall, Bryan Circle, Fort Hill Street, and Hendrix Student Center.

Metered parking costs $4.25 per hour. Visitors generally have a three-hour limit, unless the space has a different posted limit. Designated multi-space meters operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week; follow the signs at your chosen location for its hours and limit.

Payment methods include quarters, one-dollar coins, one-dollar bills, MasterCard or Visa credit or debit cards, and the Flowbird app. Card payments have a $1 minimum.

For designated lots, online weekday visitor permits cost $8 per day and may be purchased up to 14 days in advance. Those lots are directly on CATbus routes, with transportation provided Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Online weekend permits cost $12 and allow parking in unrestricted employee and student spaces from 4:30 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday. They exclude home football game weekends and may be purchased up to four weekends in advance.

Permits are available online seven days a week and after hours online at the Clemson University Police Department, 124 Ravenel Center Place. They are nonrefundable; payment accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit or debit cards.

For temporary loading or unloading, use a metered space or obtain a one-hour loading/unloading zone permit from Parking and Transportation Services. After business hours, you can request temporary permission from University Police at 864-656-2222.

Parking for stadium events

Parking for stadium events

Home football games follow football parking regulations instead of the usual campus rules. On game-day Saturdays, enforcement begins at 12:01 a.m. IPTAY parking areas are controlled by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and event staff; only vehicles with valid IPTAY permits may enter, drive through, or park in those spaces.

Football parking lots open at 6 a.m. for games with kickoffs before 12:30 p.m. and at 8 a.m. for later kickoffs. Vehicles must be moved within two hours after a home game concludes.

For planning around Memorial Stadium parking, check the event-specific directions before setting out. A visit to Doug Kingsmore Stadium may also involve event parking, so confirm the applicable guidance for your destination.

Using a campus map to choose a lot

Using a campus map to choose a lot

A campus map helps you compare parking locations with the campus destination you plan to reach. Clemson provides separate maps for general campus parking, football parking, and walking or handicap-accessible routes, plus a printable campus map. Use the parking map to identify a nearby listed location, then check its posted rules and the permit requirements before parking.

Walking from parking to campus destinations

Walking from parking to campus destinations

Use Clemson’s walking and handicap-accessible map to plan the route from a parking area to your destination. The available information identifies parking locations and map types, but doesn’t give walking times between individual lots and landmarks; check the map for the route that fits your visit.
